Over the past 20 years we have;
OR we can talk to you about your own requirements
I had the pleasure of working with Tony / 4Front Partners to further enhance the work we do to engage employers, working with my organisation on a transformation project to refresh our employer engagement strategy. He took time to get to know the business and the key people and processes within it, working with us to develop a new strategy that would ensure those we were working with received the greatest support, as well as ensuring the teams felt valued and clear on expectations. Tony has a naturally engaging and disarming style, meaning he quickly embedded himself as part of the team and over the period of time working with us, became a valued addition to the business. The output of his work has had a great impact, and I would not hesitate to work with him again in future.
The team at 4front Partners have recently completed a 6-month project in partnership with City of York Council, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The project sought to increase employment opportunities for some of York’s most vulnerable residents.
I am sharing some of our key learnings, as I believe some of the project’s successes can be replicated elsewhere.
In many areas of the UK, local commissioning design is taking place, for Connect to Work and other related programmes. It’s always positive to hear about new services for citizens who need additional support to enter and progress in employment.
However, in our experience of working with hiring businesses, they are sometimes frustrated at the complex landscape of programmes, providers and products they need to navigate to access diverse talent.
A new financial year can sometimes bring new recruitment opportunities in many sectors. Other important labour market factors include the changes to employment legislation, increase in minimum wage, and the increase in NI contributions for businesses.
There is uncertainty out there with employers. But I view this backdrop as an opportunity. Now really is the perfect time to get out there to talk to businesses about what the next 12-18 months looks like for their recruitment and training needs.
