In our 20+ years’ experience of championing Employer Engagement within employment support and adult skills sectors, 4front Partners has seen the same problems play out across the UK;

•  Programme commissioning creates multiple, confusing programmes across a disconnected supply system

•  The employability and adult skills landscapes are complex and difficult for businesses to navigate 

•  Any business wishing to explore diverse recruitment and/or workplace development needs to engage with scores of providers to access training offers and fragmented talent pools

•  Businesses want help to solve their problems, not to be sold to

•  Many employment and skills providers admit to a lack of consistent training for practitioners engaging in business-to-business conversations 

Just consider this: in most labour markets there will be at least twenty organisations all with their own caseloads, products and contract targets all vying to engage with the same local employers.

WHAT WE ARE PLANNING

We’re excited to invite you to The future of Employer Engagement : Innovation, Strategy & Connection.  From October 2025, we will hold regional events in several cities and towns across the UK to address challenges and improve how we can all engage with businesses.

Supported by ERSA, we’ll bring together place-based stakeholders in unique events which will;

-  Share industry leading training and tools for best-in-class Employer Engagement

-  Foster and amplify collaboration across providers 

-  Host Keynote speeches from industry leaders, policy makers and businesses

•  Peer-led networking to share challenges and co-design solutions

This is more than just a networking and training event — it’s a chance to refine your approach, connect with peers, and walk away with actionable strategies to better serve both employers and participants in your labour market.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The events are perfect for any practitioner or programme that relies on effective relationships with businesses.  We want a broad range of providers to attend including employment support, adult education, third sector organisations, Local Authorities, Jobcentre Plus – indeed anyone who connects with businesses to achieve their programme objectives.

We are gauging interest for the events via an expression of interest form. Initial interest is strong, but we do not want anyone to miss out – it wouldn’t be collaboration without you involved!  

We will hold events where there is most demand, so if you wish to have an event in your area, why not encourage local partners to fill in the expression of interest too.  You can find the expression of interest below, it takes a few minutes to complete. 

Whilst there will be a small charge for each event to cover costs, we will make some bursary places available to small third sector organisations per event, so make sure you register your interest. We’re looking forward to working with you.
